The hardware, connectivity and software layers behind every Lightning Energy charger.

AC & DC Charging

Full hardware range spanning slow AC to ultra-fast DC charging.

Safety & Protections

Over-voltage, over-current, earth fault and thermal protections built in.

OCPP Connectivity

Open Charge Point Protocol support for interoperability with CMS platforms.

Remote Diagnostics

Cloud-connected monitoring, firmware updates and fault alerts.

Every Lightning Energy charger is built on the same three layers: charging hardware that follows standard AC and DC charging protocols, a connectivity module that reports status back to our platform, and a software layer that turns that data into something useful — for a homeowner checking a charging session, or a fleet manager reviewing a depot of chargers overnight.

This section covers the three parts of that stack in more detail: the consumer-facing Lightning App, the Charge Management System used by site owners and operators, and the Discovery API for partners who want to surface Lightning charging data inside their own applications.

  • Charging App — the consumer app for starting sessions, tracking usage and finding chargers.
  • Charge Management — the operator dashboard for site owners running multiple chargers.
  • API — programmatic access for partners integrating with the Lightning Energy network.
