For Fleet

Fleet

Depot charging for commercial fleets of two-wheelers, three-wheelers, cars and light commercial vehicles.

Depot charging that respects shifts and supply limits.

Fleet charging is fundamentally a scheduling and utilisation problem as much as an electrical one: a depot full of vehicles returning at different times, needing to be ready for the next shift, on a shared electrical connection that has a hard capacity limit. Lightning Energy’s fleet-oriented hardware — from 2 & 3 wheeler fast chargers to commercial DC units — is designed to be deployed in groups with load management, so a depot can charge many vehicles overnight without exceeding its available supply.

Because fleet operators care about uptime and predictable running costs, our commercial line is built around straightforward diagnostics and remote monitoring so faults can be flagged and addressed quickly rather than discovered only when a vehicle fails to charge. Charge Management is intended to give depot managers visibility into which chargers are in use, which are free, and how much energy each vehicle segment is consuming over time.

Every fleet’s vehicle mix, shift pattern and depot electrical capacity is different, so we start fleet conversations with a site and duty-cycle review before recommending a specific hardware configuration.

Why Lightning

Built for how this site actually works

Shift-aware design

Vehicles return on different clocks — charging plans follow duty cycles, not guesses.

Load management

Charge many vehicles overnight without blowing past depot supply limits.

Utilisation clarity

See which chargers are busy, free, or faulted before the next shift starts.

Uptime diagnostics

Remote alerts so faults aren’t discovered only when a vehicle fails to charge.

How it works

From first conversation to live charging

  1. 1

    Duty-cycle review

Map vehicle mix, return windows and required state of charge.

  2. 2

    Depot survey

Confirm electrical capacity and charger placement in the yard.

  3. 3

    Deploy with load control

Install grouped hardware that shares supply intelligently.

  4. 4

    Operate the depot

Monitor sessions, energy use and faults from Charge Management.

Where this solution fits best

Every site is different — these are the patterns we see most often for this vertical.

Last-mile depots

Overnight charging for delivery fleets on tight schedules.

Corporate captive fleets

Staff and operations vehicles returning to a home base.

Mixed vehicle yards

2W / 3W / 4W combinations sharing one supply.

Common questions

Often yes — with load management. We design around your duty cycle and supply limit.

Design charging for your depot

Share your vehicle mix and shift pattern — we’ll recommend a load-managed hardware plan.
