Electric vehicles are, at their core, a way to shift transport energy demand toward electricity — and the environmental benefit of that shift depends on charging infrastructure being reliable enough that people actually choose to drive electric. That’s the lens we use for sustainability: the most useful thing a charging hardware company can do for the environment is build chargers that work, so EV adoption isn’t held back by charging anxiety.
Beyond the product itself, we think about sustainability in a few concrete ways as we grow: designing hardware with a working lifetime long enough that units aren’t replaced prematurely, supporting firmware updates on networked chargers so hardware doesn’t need to be swapped out just to gain new features, and being thoughtful about packaging and logistics as our installation volumes increase.
We don’t have third-party sustainability certifications to point to today, and we’d rather say that plainly than imply otherwise. As our operations mature, we intend to formalise our approach further and will update this page as that happens, rather than making claims ahead of the work.
