What it's like working at Lightning Energy.

Lightning Energy sits at an intersection of hardware, electrical installation and software — which means our teams spend a lot of time talking to each other across disciplines that don’t always overlap at other companies. An engineer working on charger firmware regularly hears directly from the installation team about what actually goes wrong on-site, and that feedback loop shapes the product roadmap more than any single feature request.

We try to keep decision-making close to the people who see the problem first-hand — whether that’s an installer flagging a recurring wiring issue, a support engineer noticing a pattern in fault reports, or a sales conversation surfacing a gap in our product range. That means people at every level are expected to raise what they’re seeing, not just execute a plan handed down from above.

Because we’re still a growing company, roles here tend to be broader than they might be somewhere larger — you’ll likely work across more of the stack, from hardware to software to the customer conversation, than a similarly titled role at a bigger organisation. If that sounds like the kind of environment you want to work in, take a look at our open roles.
